Obituary of Carmine DiGrande
Carmine DiGrande, 77, of Manalapan passed away at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune on Monday, November 12, 2018. Carmine was born in Manhattan and had lived in Brooklyn and Staten Island before settling in New Jersey in 2004. He enjoyed 47 years of success as a pressroom foreman for the Daily News. An avid Yankee and Giants fan, Carmine was the baseball coach for Concordia College and Queensborough Community College. He loved his family above all else.
Carmine is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Gloria DiGrande of Manalapan; daughter, Marie Gentile and her husband, Salvatore of Manalapan; sons, Salvatore DiGrande and his wife, Stacey of Marlboro, and Thomas DiGrande and his wife, Deanna of Hillsborough; six grandchildren, Nicholas, Carmine and his fiancée, Ashley, Torrie and Jonathan, Salvatore, Anthony and Alexandra; and his sister, Sally Barsky of Florida.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 and Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 8:30 AM on Friday, November 16, 2018 at the funeral home for the procession to his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 186 Gordons Corner Road, Manalapan. Entombment will follow in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleum, 549 Route 520, Marlboro.
