Obituary of Gregory W. Hansen
Gregory W. Hansen, 41, of Millstone passed away suddenly at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center at Rahway on Tuesday, March 26, 2019. Greg, known by many as “Big Ace” was born in Red Bank, raised in Freehold Township and had lived in Red Bank before settling in Millstone in 2009 with his wife. A graduate of the Freehold Borough High School Class of 1996, he continued his education at Rutgers University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Communications.
After college, Greg got his start in the family business, Hansen Plumbing. He moved on to outside sales for Ferguson, and most recently became a Territory Manager with Maloney & Curcio, Linden. Greg was a diehard NY Rangers fan. He was also an enthusiastic fan of the PGA, and had been to many events over the years with his family. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking, and most importantly he was a devoted family man and committed friend. Greg adored his wife and children, and they brought him tremendous joy.
Greg is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Jennifer Hansen of Millstone; two children, Madison Mary and Brody Ace; his devoted parents, William and Patricia Hansen of Rumson; best friend and brother, Ryan Hansen and his wife, Mary of Tinton Falls; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gary and Diane Lantz of Freehold Township; sister-in-law, Kristen Lantz and her husband, Michael Diem of Philadelphia, PA; nephews, Brandon, Dylan, Liam and Keller; niece, Avery; many loving aunts, uncles and cousins; and his closest friends, Patrick, Robert and Adam along with their families.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, March 29, 2019 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold. Interment will follow in Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan.
