Obituary of Thomas Pacylowsky
Thomas Michael “Packy” Pacylowsky, 65, of Freehold Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Wedgwood Gardens, Freehold Township surrounded by his loving Arc of Monmouth group home staff. He was born in Red Bank on February 3, 1954 and he resided at the Arc of Monmouth Bergerville Group Home for 32 years. He spent many years enjoying life side by side his 5 housemates. Packy was an avid bowler and swimmer; participating in the Special Olympics and often taking the Gold! He traveled with Guided Tours and loved socializing with peers at various dances, picnics and parties. Packy will forever be remembered as someone who loved life with an unforgettable radiant smile, outgoing personality and a light that lit up everyone’s life.
Packy was predeceased by his father, Frank Pacylowsky in 1974; mother, Carol Miller Pacylowsky in 2012; and sister, Virginia. For 19 years, Packy spent many holidays, birthdays and life events surrounded by unconditional love and laughter with Tara DeSantis and family.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with his funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. In lieu of flowers, donations in Thomas’ name may be made to The Arc of Monmouth, Development Department, 1158 Wayside Road, Tinton Falls, NJ 07712.
