Peter DeQuarto

Obituary of Peter J. DeQuarto

Peter J. DeQuarto, 93, of Manalapan passed away on Monday, August 5, 2019 at Manor by the Sea. He was born and raised in Flatbush, Brooklyn, moved to Howell, and then settled in Manalapan in 2014. Peter was a member of the local union #3 I.B.E.W for 40 years. He also bravely served in the United States Army. Peter was so talented he was asked to try out for the St. Louis Cardinals, a team which he was a devoted fan of. He was also a baseball and football coach in his spare time. Peter adored trains and planes, and could be found watching the planes at J.F.K International Airport, pointing out to others what kind of planes were flying overhead, and even what airline. His absolute favorite vacation spot was Hawaii. Peter was a very patriotic man and rightfully so, loved Bald Eagles. He was a true fan of Real Country Western Music.

Peter was predeceased by his adoring wife, Virginia DeQuarto. He is survived by his children, Denise DeQuarto of Manalapan, James DeQuarto and his wife, Lisa of Freehold, and Diane Calabria and her husband, Frank of Jackson; four grandchildren, Jason and his wife, Melissa, Jonathan, Nicole, and Peter; four great grandchildren, Matthew, Alyssa, Sofia, and Eric, Jr.; brother, Frank DeQuarto and his wife, Leona of Ronkonkoma, Long Island; and sister, Flora Sabella and her husband, Joe of Albany, New York.
