Gestures
We are shocked to learn of Jon’s passing. We were fortunate to have known Jon during his time in SC. He made such an impression on us and we thought of him as one of our kids. While he was doing some landscaping for us and several others in the area, we would cook lunch for him and his crew, making sure to make enough for him to take home for dinner. Sometimes if he was working down by the lake, he would come by just to sit on the porch and visit with us. We hired Jon for tree work, we spent time with him because he became our friend. He was honest with us about his employees pasts and was so proud of the effort that he made to change their lives. He spoke so highly of his family and the love he had for y’all. Jon was such a compassionate, smart, and responsible young man who left a lasting impact on so many lives.
As parents of kids his age, we are heartbroken for y’all and we grieve together for Jon. Please know that Jon exemplified the values that he was taught. We are blessed to have known him and we will miss him.
Our prayers are with you all,
Donna and Barry Patterson
