Obituary of Antoinette "Netty" White

Antoinette “Netty” White, 84, of Freehold passed away at home on Monday, January 27, 2020 with her daughters by her side. Netty was born and grew up in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn and raised her family in Marine Park. Later she moved to Jackson and eventually settled in Freehold in 2019. Netty was an administrative assistant for Marsh McLennan for over fifteen years where she was a victim of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, the same type of terrorist attack that took the life of her son-in-law, Richard Bruehert in 2001. A woman of faith, Netty would attend daily mass on her lunchbreak at Our Lady of the Rosary in Manhattan where she prayed to the Blessed Mother, St. Anthony and the rosary. Netty enjoyed trips to Atlantic City to play the slots and was also an avid bowler. She cared for and treasured her grandchildren and enjoyed supporting them at all their events. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald White in 2018. Netty is survived by her three daughters, JoAnne Bruehert of St. Augustine, FL, Susan Monti and her husband, Edward of Howell, and Patricia Colasanto and her husband, Matthew of Freehold; and four grandchildren, Nicole, Christina, Anthony and Danielle. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM and Friday, January 31, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township on Saturday, February 1, 2020. Interment will follow in Green-Wood Cemetery, 500 25th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11232.
