Condolences
I would like to send my love and belated condolences to the Gillespie family. I didn't know Doug but his Great Grandfather from Scotland, John Gillespie, was my 2x Great Grandfather.
It would have been wonderful to have chatted.
Hope time is the great healer.

So sorry to hear of Doug's passing and that of his wife, Valerie. I first made Doug's acquaintance as classmates in 5th grade and then following through High School. Only bumped into him a couple of times since then. Always enjoyed Doug's sort of quiet but 'sharp' demeanor and 'interesting' sense and timing of his humor. Good guy. RIP, Doug.

I will miss you so much my friend Tom D’Amato
Mr. G to those of us who knew you in our time at Collier, for many, you filled the void of a missing father image, a big brother a mentor and an example of a man we could proudly follow. You will be greatly missed. My condolence to the family. RIP
James R. Christenson Sr.
Where can I start, I had a pleasure of knowing Mr. G in my time in Collier I was a freshman when I first attended and I always remembered the conversations we had and how we sometimes joke over certain topics. I got into trouble a few times but he was always carrying a smile when he talks with me. I never forget everything he has told me. This came at a surprise and just shocks me, I never imagined that this day would arrive. I am extending my condolences to the family, hope there is a silver lining in this time of grief.
I will miss Doug's emails, Art and I are so sorry to hear of his passing. Your Cousin Deborah
Mr. G used to talk to me every day in the morning my last year of high school. He was such a sweet, compassionate man and it makes me very sad to hear that he has passed away. My condolences to his family and may he rest in peace.
I am a cousin, I will never forget Dougie, he is one of my Jersey Touchstones from my babysitting years!! He and his siblings! Same for his mom/dad! This was a heavy lift for my Heart/Soul! I live in Montana and will be Praying from afar!! My Heart goes out to all the Gillespie Family, Love you All!!!
I was a student at Collier when Mr. G was the VP. Many of us had issues we couldnt look past at the time to see how much the staff cared about us. Mr. G was tough but fair and cared a great deal about us all. He was a good man and will be remembered by many for the help and guidance he provided to those of us who needed it most. Rest easy and my condolences to his family and friends.
RIP Doug, we spent many summer days playing in your backyard as kids. I enjoyed your emails so much. I was glad you stayed in touch. The thought of your wife and you both passing is so painful. Love your whole family. Your Cousin Deborah, Art Kuncken and girls.
