As my husband told me when I was crying after hearing the news of Bob’s passing, “That man knew how to live life.” So true. I met Bob (and Laura) in 1985 as I started my engineering career with Nestle. Bob was one of the kindest men I knew, always willing to help me when I had questions about the manufacturing processes. He frequently had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. I know he and Laura shared many marvelous vacations together. In fact, while I hadn’t seen them for decades, I had the fortune of bumping into them in Iceland last September. Shortly after my sister and I received complimentary silica mud masks at Reykjavik’s Blue Lagoon, I spotted Bob with Laura. What a happy, yet brief, reunion for me and two of my much-loved former workmates. Attached is a photo of us. Happy trails to you, Bob. Our thoughts and love are with you, Laura.
