Obituary of Richard A. Rachko

Richard A. Rachko, 65, of Freehold Township passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He was born and raised in Jersey City and had lived in Westfield from 1972 until settling to Freehold in 1980. Richard worked as a Machinist for New Brunswick Scientific in Edison for 35 years before retiring in 2011 at the age of 52. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting no matter the weather. Richard traveled throughout the U.S. hunting with his bow and arrow, shotgun, rifle, and much more. His only rule was not to kill what he couldn’t take home. Richard could also be found spending time freshwater fishing and watching the New York Yankees and Giants. Above all, Richard was a devoted family man who adored his family more than anything.

He was predeceased by his parents, George and Helen Rachko; and a niece, Lillainya. Richard is survived by his siblings, George Rachko, Jr. of Las Vegas, Gary Rachko and his wife, Mary of Freehold, and Lynn Kruk and her husband, Bernie of Howell; one nephew, George III; two nieces, Marissa Nagy and her husband, Joey, and Corrin Ganley and her husband, James; one great nephew, Jack; four great nieces, Meah, Madyson, Molly, and Emily; and many loving cousins.
