Obituary of Jose Neitzel

Jose Ricardo Neitzel, 75, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021 at the Atlantic Coast Nursing Home. He was a lifelong Teamster with Local 641 out of Union, New Jersey. Jose was an extremely hard working man who could talk to anyone for hours on end. He made many friends in his life, was quick to help his fellow men and was a very generous person. Jose was a lifelong soccer fan as well as a fan of the Peruvian National Team. In his younger days, he was an avid soccer player. Jose was a good family man that enjoyed spending time with his family. He could often be found at home listening to music or cheering on his country's team with his family. He will be remembered as a loving father, husband and a friend to all.

He is survived by his adoring wife of 49 years, Dina; his children, Druswa and Julio Porras of Richmond, Texas; Jose and Angelica Neitzel of Jackson; Erik Neitzel of Jackson; and Karl and Anna Neitzel of Livingston; and grandchildren, Emilio, Alyssa, Sofia, Aaron, Kamila, and Victoria.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 1:00 to 4:30 PM. For the safety of the public and our staff, we are asking everyone to help us adhere to the CDC guidelines. Facemasks will be required. Interment will take place in Recuerdo Puente Piedra Park, Peru at a later date to be announced.
