Obituary of Esther H. Lambert
Esther H. Lambert, 93, of Freehold passed away peacefully in her loving home on Saturday, December 4, 2021. She was born in La Romano, Dominican Republic and immigrated to the United States in 1936 settling in New York. Esther also lived in Kansas City, MO, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Jackson, Manahawkin, Boynton Beach, FL, and Long Island before moving here. She had a passion for travel, particularly going on cruises and trips to Atlantic City. Esther relished in her time with her family for their monthly card games, found great delight in putting together jigsaw puzzles and took great pleasure in her scratch offs and lottery quick picks. She was a wonderful mom and grandma who especially treasured her grandchildren as her greatest gift.
She was predeceased by her husband, John T. Lambert; granddaughter, Julie Ann; two brothers, Oscar and Julio; and two sisters, Norma and Edna. Esther is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline Abramaitis and her husband, Joseph of Maspeth, Queens, and Joan Ross and her husband, David of Freehold; son, John Moniodes of Barnegat; six grandchildren, Jill Almodovar and her husband, Luis, Jessica DeDomenico and her husband, Michael, Jennifer Ross, Heather Sauer and her husband, Justin, Courtney Abadiotakis and her husband, Joseph; and five great grandchildren, Jaiden, Leia, Rylie, Cole and Joey.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 2:00 to 5:30 PM. Her funeral service will follow at 5:30 PM with the Rev. Peter Guilfoyle officiating. Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family in Greenwood Cemetery and Mausoleum, Tuckerton.
