Obituary of Samuel Ceasar, Jr.

Samuel “Peter” Ceasar, Jr, 81, of Freehold Township, Passed away after a long illness on December 7, 2021, with his wife and family by his side. Sam was born and raised in Newark. He graduated from Central High School, Attended Rutgers Newark, and Essex College of Business. He also served in the United States Army for 4 years. Sam retired from Exxon Corporation in Bayonne and Linden after 30 years of service and 19 years of much enjoyed retirement. He was a gentleman and a lot of fun. He would tell you to have fun, watch old movies, enjoy jazz, and save your money. If you wish to remember Sam, please donate to your local food pantry.

He is predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Florence Ceasar; Brothers, James, Raymond, Gerald, Robert and Ralph Ceasar; Sister, Sheila Ceasar Tolor; Friend and brother-in-law, Jim Maitland.

Sam is survived by his wife Eleanor Ceasar; Sisters, Brenda Ceasar Brown and Florence Ceasar Brown Douglas; In-laws, Lorraine Maitland, Alice and Robert Newton, George and Barbara Dobosh, Ellen Garzon and family, Michael Maitland and family; Dear friends John and Marilyn Truppo and many nieces nephews and extended family. He will be dearly missed.
