Obituary of John C. Hahn

John C. Hahn, 86, of Edgartown, Massachusetts passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at his son’s home in Howell Township, NJ.  John was born and raised in Hillside, NJ and had lived in Maine and Chappaquiddick Island before moving to Edgartown over 30 years ago.  He was a mason by trade and had a passion for building wooden boats.  Drawn to the sea, John was a skillful saltwater fisherman.  Later in life, he took up baking and bread making.

John was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Martha “Cookie” Hahn.  He is survived by his children, Eric Hahn and his wife, Maureen of Melrose, MA, Christine Helmuth and her husband, Gary, Palmyra, VA, Greta Normand and her husband, Drew of Dorothy, NJ and Nelson Hahn and his wife, Lynn of Howell; five grandchildren, Harrison, Jacob, Abigail, Rebecca and Hunter.
