Obituary of Richard P. Giordano

Richard P. Giordano, 77, of Farmingdale passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at the Manor By The Sea, Ocean Grove. Richard was born in New York City and was raised in Greenwich Village. He moved to Brooklyn to raise his family and then retired to the Equestra Community in Farmingdale in 2009. Richard was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service in New York City for over forty years until retiring in 2003. A man of faith, he was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Farmingdale. Richard enjoyed canoeing, traveling, rooting for the NY Yankees and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. He had a passion for a glass of scotch and a good cigar but his family was everything to him. Richard is survived by his wife of 56 years, Louise Giordano; two daughters, Deborah Imbriale and her husband, Joseph of Middletown and Sharon Auleta and her fiancé, Charlie Ciccone of Holmdel; three grandchildren, Joseph Imbriale and his fiancée, Stephanie Romanelli of Dublin, OH, Michael Imbriale of Middletown, and Anneliese Auleta of Holmdel; and his aunt, Dolores Cargioli of Catskill, NY. A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 12:00 Noon for the procession to his 1:00 PM Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 31 Asbury Road, Farmingdale, NJ 07727. Entombment to follow in St. Gabriel's Cemetery and Chapel Mausoleum, Route 520 Marlboro, NJ.
