Obituary of Denise Besignano

Denise M. Besignano, 46, of Howell passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick.  She was born in Neptune and raised in Wall. Denise met her husband Steve in 1999 and they got married in 2003. Together they settled to Howell where their son, Nicholas, was born shortly after in 2005. Denise worked at CentraState Medical Center for 26 years.  She was a home health aide, a caretaker of many who was often requested because she was known for taking such good care of people.  A workaholic, Denise also worked as a bus driver for the Howell Township Board of Education. She enjoyed spending time outdoors at the beach and pool, and working outside in her yard, as well as playing with her dogs, Sparky, Mia, Destiny, and Lucy. She was loved by all who had the honor of knowing her.  Denise was the strongest person you could ever meet, always smiling, even through her battle with cancer, a warrior who fought until the end. Above all, Denise was a devoted mother who treasured and adored her boy, Nicholas, her world.

She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Patrick and Dorothy Pacifico; maternal grandparents, Maurice and Mary West; father, Patrick Pacifico; and mother-in-law, Geraldine Besignano.  Denise is survived by her loving husband, Steven Besignano of Howell; son, Nicholas Besignano; mother, Katherine Pacifico of Wall; sister, Christina Dassing and her husband, Steve of Wall; brother, Anthony Pacifico and his fiancée, Angie Kozlowski of Wall; niece, Nina; and nephew, Michael. 

A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM with her Memorial Service to follow at 5:00 PM.  For those who desire, contributions in honor of Denise may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2310 Route 34, Suite 1D, Manasquan, NJ 08736.
