Obituary of Caroline A. Lisa
Caroline A. Lisa, 94, of Jackson passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 2, 2022. She was born and raised in Jersey City and had lived in Ho-Ho-Kus and East Brunswick before settling here 20 years ago. Caroline was active in her community, Four Seasons at South Knolls, and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed playing mahjong, playing cards with her friends and day trips to Atlantic City playing the Wheel of Fortune slot machine. Caroline was a parishioner of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and her faith helped carry her through her times of loss. She was woman of strength, and a wonderful role model for her children and grandchildren.
Caroline was preceded in death by her father, Alfonso Falzarano; mother, Lucy Centano; husband, Philip Lisa; daughter, Lucille A. Tanner; son, Philip J. Lisa, Jr.; brother Peter Centano; and stepfather, Tony Centano. She is survived by her daughter, Annie Alexis of Freehold; five grandchildren, James Alexis, Gregory Tanner and his wife, Robyn, Melisa Alexis, Eric Tanner and Marisa Tanner and her fiancé, Bill Cleary ; six great grandchildren, Samantha, Michael, Katlin, Taylor, Hailey and Ryan; and former son-in-law, Thomas Tanner.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 9:30 AM Funeral Mass on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, 840 South Cranbury River Road, Jamesburg.
