Obituary of Daniel J. Conti

Daniel J. Conti, 47, of Forked River passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was born in Jersey City, raised in Bayonne, and had lived in Forked River and Lavalette before moving back to Forked River. Daniel worked in the maintenance department for the City of Island Heights. He was musically inclined and alongside his father was a part of the Doo-Wop group the Dee-Cees. Daniel was a lifelong Eagles and Yankee fan. He will be remembered for his generosity, his talent, personality, and love for his family and friends. As his idol Elvis sang, “And I know if I'll only be true to this glorious quest that my heart will be peaceful and calm when I'm laid to my rest”.

Daniel was predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Sharon Conti. He is survived by his wife, Stacey Weigandt of Forked River; son, Daniel J. Conti, Jr.; aunt, Karen McCormack and his uncle, Kevin McCormack of Old Bridge; uncle, John W. O’Hara, Jr. of Florida; cousins, Kevin McCormack, Jr. and his wife, Angelica and their three daughters, Jolie, Juliette and Keira, Brian McCormack and his wife, Alexis and their two children, Madilyn and Mason, Shane McCormack, John W. O’Hara, III and his wife, Robin, and Kristen Kline and her husband, Aaron; mother-in-law, Maryann Weigandt; and many extended family member and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11:00 AM graveside service on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Restland Memorial Park, 77 Deforest Avenue, East Hanover, NJ 07936.
