Obituary of Marion Christine Archer
Marion Christine Archer, 62, of Jackson passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023. She was born in Neptune, raised in Howell, and settled in Jackson in 2015. Marion worked for many years for Jay’s Bus Service in Lakewood. The bus children became so close with her, they were considered her as family. She adored her Lakewood community and spending time with those she met. While Marion was stubborn, she was selfless, made an impression on everyone she encountered, and could make friends anywhere she went. She loved her beloved dogs, past and present, who were always by her side. Above all, Marion’s greatest accomplishment was her granddaughter and amazing family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gary Archer; mother, Linda Lou Roe; father, John J. Gaffney Jr.; step-father, William Dunnkosky, Sr.; brother, William Dunnkosky, Jr.; grandmother, Ida B. Roe; grandfather, James Roe Sr.; great uncle, Louis P. Clayton; and beloved canine companion, Brutus. Marion is survived by her son, David G. Archer and his wife, Cherill; foster-son, David McIntosh; canine companion, Diesel; fiancé, Keith Morgan Sr.; granddaughter, Miracle C. Archer; siblings, William Hastie and his wife, Jeanette, Vicky L. Dunnkosky-Gliese, Robin Levine Franklin, and James Dunnkosky, Sr.; nieces and nephews, William Dunnkosky, Allison Menschner, Joseph Hastie, Devin Hastie, Tyler Hastie, Christopher W. Cohen, Dylan A. Cohen, and Kalynn E. Cohen; James Dunnkosky Jr., Kathleen Dunnkosky, Joseph Dunnkosky and many other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM funeral service on Friday, November 17, 2023 at the Funeral Home.
