John Nicholas Bihuniak, 69, of Jackson passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He was born in New Brunswick, raised in Englishtown, and had lived in Freehold Township and Howell before settling in Jackson. John had an enormous love for dogs. His true passion was being a life member of the Freehold Township Independent Fire Company. This is where he mentored many younger members, sharing his knowledge and insight from his years of dedicated service.

He was predeceased by his parents, John Paul Bihuniak, Eva Bihuniak, and Olga Bihuniak. John is survived by his wife of 45 years, Julianna J. Bihuniak; children, John Paul Bihuniak and his wife, Lisa, Suzanne June Taylor and her husband, Rey, and Katherine Elaine Ziobro and her husband, Zach; grandchildren, Sebastian, Violet, Kyle, Brody, Jackson, and Alice; siblings, Anastasia Essl, and Paula Mindzak and her husband, Ronald; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 8:00 PM with a Fireman’s Service to begin at 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11:30 AM interment on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 in Old Tennent Cemetery, 454 Tennent Road, Manalapan.
