Obituary of Angelo Costagliola
Angelo Costagliola, 85, of Freehold Township, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 26, 2024, with his son by his side at The Manor Nursing Home. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Angelo spent much of his life there before moving to the Oakwood neighborhood of Staten Island. In 2021, he moved to Freehold Township to live with his son. A butcher by trade, Angelo was the proud owner of Sal’s Market in Brooklyn for many years. He was passionate about games of chance, particularly enjoying his trips to Atlantic City, where he found happiness in playing cards and rolling the dice. Yet being called Nonno was his greatest joy.
Angelo was predeceased by his wife, Rose and his son, Michael. He is survived by his son, Angelo and his wife, Yvonne and four grandchildren, Angelo, Noelle and her fiancé, Alesandro Mancuso, Alyssa, and Michael.
