Obituary of Maria Solop

Maria A. Solop, 89, of Jackson passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Bartley Health Care, Jackson. Maria was born in the Bronx and had lived in Millstone Township and Howell before moving to Jackson. She was an administrative secretary at Applegarth Care Center in Monroe Township. Maria was predeceased by her husband, Julian Solop in 1987; two brothers, Alfred and John Hammerle; and a son-in-law, Lawrence Rager. She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Rager and her fiancé, Roy Christensen of Whiting; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with her funeral service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township.
