Obituary of Ann Helfrich Drop
Ann Helfrich Drop, 90, of Toms River passed away at Southern Ocean Medical Center, Stafford Township on Sunday, August 31, 2014. Ann was born in Pata, Czechoslovakia. In 1930, at the age of six, Ann and her sister, Pauline (whom was eight), with the aid of the American Red Cross, traveled to the United States to join their parents in Endicott, NY. Ann was raised in Endicott and had lived in Wall Twp. before settling to Toms River in 1994. She was a homemaker, but also worked as a seamstress for Roxanne Swimsuits in Neptune. Ann loved flea markets, knitting, crocheting and sewing.
Ann was predeceased by her parents, William and Anna Herceg; a sister, Pauline Homza; and a brother, Andrew Joseph Herceg. She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Kazlauskas and her husband, Gerald of Freehold and Patti Clancy of Whiting; three sons, Charles Peter Helfrich and his wife, Susan of Springville, UT, William Allen Helfrich of Perry, AR and Michael Dean Helfrich and his wife, Jan of Barnegat; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Albrechta of Binghamton, NY.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 8:30 PM with her funeral service to follow at 8:30 PM.
