Obituary of Rosemarie Scarpulla
Rosemarie Scarpulla, 84, of Manalapan passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Rosemarie was born in Palermo, Sicily and had lived in Bronx, NY, Old Bridge and Freehold Township before moving to Manalapan 13 years ago. She was a warranty administrator for DCH Toyota in Freehold retiring two years ago. Prior to that, Rosemarie was an elementary school teacher at Sacred Heart School in New Brunswick.
Rosemarie was predeceased by her husband, Angelo Scarpulla; and a brother, Paul Lapi. She is survived by a son, Michael Scarpulla of Toms River; two daughters, Julie Phillips of Manalapan and Diana Reta of Jackson; eight grandchildren, Jessica Duncan, Jack Phillips, Stephen Scarpulla, Haley Samuel, Taylor Samuel, Lauren Phillips, Nicole Cocco and Michael Reta; and three great grandchildren, Michael Anthony Reta, Giuliana Rose Cocco and Madeline Rose Duncan.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM funeral service on Monday, September 29, 2014 at First Assembly of God Church, 272 Jackson Mills Road, Freehold Township.
