Obituary of Rocco Tarsillo

Rocco Tarsillo, 77, of Freehold passed away surrounded by his loving family on October 2, 2014 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Rocco was born in Italy and had lived in Brooklyn and Staten Island prior to setting in Freehold in 1988. He was a self-employed carpenter until his retirement in 1994. He was a gentle, loving husband, father and grandfather whose whole life was his family. He will be deeply missed. Rocco was predeceased by his parents, Alfredo and Lucia Tarsillo; one brother, Frank Tarsillo; and two sisters, Adelina Vitocarino and Anna Labriola. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lucia Tarsillo of Freehold; three children, Elaine Badalamenti and her husband, Vincent of Freehold, Alfredo Tarsillo and his wife, Kristin of Staten Island, NY, and Lucille Cavanaugh and her husband, Michael of Plumsted; six grandchildren, Danielle Caruso, Marc Tarsillo, Alexandra Badalamenti, Brianna Tarsillo, Anthony Badalamenti and Christian Cavanaugh; two sisters, Antonia Colacino and Maria Bonavita; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township on Monday, October 6, 2014. Entombment will follow in Marlboro Memorial Cemetery & Mausoleum, Morganville.
