Obituary of Charles Kurczeski
Charles S. "Charlie" Kurczeski, 72, of Freehold Township passed away at home on Wednesday, February 1, 2012. Charlie was born and raised in Sayreville and had lived in Old Bridge and Manalapan before settling to Freehold Township in 1979. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Germany from 1959 to 1961. In 1984, Charlie founded the Perfect Paving Co. and was the owner until retiring in 2005. At that time, his sons succeeded him in the operation of the business. He was a member of the Bricklayers Union, Local #1 and a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Charlie enjoyed his winters in Estero, FL and was an avid golfer. Most of all, he had a love for his family and took great PRIDE in his home where his family came to gather.
Charlie was predeceased by a brother and a sister. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; two sons, Scott Kurczeski and his wife, Carol of Freehold Twp. and Timothy Kurczeski and his wife, Cindy of Freehold Twp.; two daughters, Kathleen Stankiewicz and her husband, Gerard of Freehold Twp. and Amy Kurczeski of Freehold Twp.; seven grandchildren, Kara Hoholik and her husband, Aaron, Kyle, Jeff, Ryan, twins, Jake & Kevin Kurczeski, and Elizabeth Stankiewicz; his first great grandchild to be born in June; six brothers; and five sisters.
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, February 5, 2012 from 12 Noon to 4:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Rite of Committal at the funeral home on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 9:00 AM followed by his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean St., Freehold.
