Obituary of JeanPaul Bergeron

JEANPAUL "FRENCHIE" BERGERON, 81, of FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, died Tuesday, June 10, at home. Frenchie was born in Beecher Falls, Vt. and was raised and had lived in Canada. He logged his way through the Adirondacks and also cleared for power lines working for the Tree Preservation in New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Frenchie then moved to Howell in 1955 and settled to Freehold Township in 1963. He was the owner of the Paul Frenchie Bergeron Tree Service, which developed his lifelong passion for his work. Frenchie also cleared backyards for many pool companies throughout the years. He was a life member of the Bacardi Club and enjoyed going to Atlantic City. He was predeceased by his wife, Sallyanne, in 1995; two brothers; and three sisters. Surviving are three sons, JeanPaul "Bimbo" Bergeron II and his companion, Peggy Jansen of Jackson, Earl C. "Tooie" Bergeron and his wife Mary of Clarksburg, and Daniel J. Bergeron and his wife Cathy of Jackson; three grandchildren, JeanPaul "J.P." Bergeron III, Jennifer Concord, and Daniel "Dan" J. Bergeron Jr.; and three great-granddaughters, Jacqueline Sallyanne, Dominique, and Sierra Jean. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls.
