Obituary of Jane Poklemba

Jane L. Poklemba (nee Kane), 80, of Freehold Township, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 8, 2014. Jane was born in New Brunswick where she lived before moving to Freehold Township in 1968. She was an executive secretary for the Institute of Advanced Technology, Princeton. Jane was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, Andrew J. Poklemba, in January; parents, John Aloysius Kane and Emily Kemp Kane, and a brother, Donald Kane. Jane is survived by her two daughters; Kathryn Holtz, and her husband, Jim, of Freehold Twp., and Janice Reidy and her husband, Bob, of Freehold Twp.; a son, Robert Poklemba, of Freehold Twp.; twelve grandchildren, Caitlin, Kelsey, Matthew, Meghan, and Emily Holtz; Erin and Andrew Reidy; Kylie, Cassidy, Kayla, Nicholas, and Casey Poklemba; two brothers, John T. Kane of New Brunswick and Richard Kane of Long Beach Island; sisters-in-law Dolores Kane, Milltown; Theresa Patullo, Bound Brook, and Rose Poklemba, Blakely, Pa; and many nieces and nephews Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton Adelphia Rd. (Route 524), Freehold Twp. on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM with her 11:00 AM Funeral Mass to follow at St. Rose of Lima Church, 16 McLean St., Freehold. Interment will follow in Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.
