Obituary of Kingsley Davison
Kingsley Davison, Sr., 90, of Adelphia passed away on Monday, October 20, 2014 at The Manor, Freehold Township. Kingsley was born in Jackson and was a lifelong resident of Adelphia. After serving in the 99th Infantry of the US Army, he was an assistant foreman for the Department of Transportation at the Freehold yard, retiring in 1985. Kingsley was a former chief and life member of the Adelphia Fire Co. for over 65 years, a member of the Cassville 7 Buck Club, a life member of the DAV, Freehold and an avid camper.
Kingsley is survived by his wife of 65 years, Vivian Davison; three sons, Kingsley Davison, Jr. and his wife, Irene of Jackson, Ernest Davison and his companion, Barbara of Howell and James Davison and his wife, Linda of Jackson; his daughter, Kathy A. Tanay and her husband, Keith of Howell; two granddaughters, Theresa Kemp of Eastampton and Suzanne Gaylord of Pt. Pleasant; one great grandson, Tyler L. Kemp; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and three sisters, Marge Wilson of Howell, Joan Leutholt of Browns Mills and Annabelle Davison of Freehold.
Visitation will be at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, October 24, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11:00 AM funeral service at the funeral home on Saturday, October 25, 2014 with Rev. Nancy Schreiber officiating.
