Obituary of Priscilla Loughner
PRISCILLA JANE PERKINS LOUGHNER, 82, of NEPTUNE, formerly of Uniontown, Pa.,died peacefully at home on Thursday, June 26th, after a long battle with Chronic Lyme Disease. Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., on January 8, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Fred C. and Velma Perkins. She received a degree in social work from Stockton State College, and a Masters Degree in Gerontology from Rutgers University at age 53. She became Director of the Howell Township Senior Center and was instrumental in the development and planning of the Senior Citizen Center. She had a zest for life, a love for nature, and was an avid gardener. She was the foundation for her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Clarence "Bud"; two daughters and their husbands, Sydney and Frank Lineberry of Neptune, and Deborah and Robert Dennison of Wall; also two sisters, Joanne Swaney and Linda Litle, both of Texas. Her most prized possessions are her loving grandchildren, Christopher and his wife Sandi, Scott, Lacey, Erin and her husband, Brian, and Jamy; along with her five great-grandchildren, Connor, Alyssa, Brandon, Liam and Ella.
A gathering of friends will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Clayton and McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township, with her Memorial Service held at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Priscilla's name to the Lyme Disease Association, P.O. Box 1438, Jackson, NJ 08527.
