Obituary of Margaret McNelis

Margaret A. McNelis, 83, of Howell Township passed away on Friday, December 12, 2014 at CareOne, Jackson. Margaret was born in Jersey City, was raised in West New York and had lived in Old Bridge and Columbus before settling to Howell Township in 2012. She was a homemaker, a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, John G. McNelis and a son-in-law, John R. Posten. She is survived by her two daughters, Margaret "Micki" Posten of Howell and Kathleen "Kathy" Galbraith and her husband, Clarence "John" of Media, PA; four grandchildren, Lauren Posten, Jonathan Posten and his wife, Kate, Justin Posten and Brian Galbraith and his fiancée, Katie Laughlin; two great grandchildren, Carter and Savannah Grace; and a very dear cousin Dottie Barakat. A gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM with her funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Inurnment will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle NJ Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
