Obituary of Costantino Napolitano
Costantino "Fred" Napolitano, 86, of Freehold passed away at home on Saturday, December 27, 2014. Fred was a lifelong resident of Brooklyn before moving to the Villages, Freehold in 1998. He retired from Con Ed in 1989 after 42 years of service. Fred was a U.S. Army veteran during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, Floyd Bennett Post 1060. As a member of the Howell Senior Center, Fred participated in the Meals on Wheels program. He was the past president of the Men's Club at the Villages. Fred was a diehard Yankee fan but his love was for his family.
Fred is survived by his wife of 64 years, Catherine; four children, Constance Donohue and her husband, James of Brooklyn, Cathy Lewis of Jackson, Louis Napolitano and his wife, Camille of Old Bridge and Nancy Napolitano and her partner, Jodi Tashman of Hatfield, PA; six grandchildren, Stephanie Donohue, James Donohue and his wife, Joanna, Caitlin Lewis, Jeffrey Lewis, Marissa Pugliese and her husband, Sal and Tara Napolitano; and four great grandchildren, Elena Rose Donohue, Raeleigh Hannah, Avery Hannah and Kylie Olivia Pugliese.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 8:00 AM for the procession to St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 31 Asbury Road, Farmingdale for his 9:00 AM Funeral Mass. Interment will follow in Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Fred may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834.
