Obituary of Angelina La Barbera

Angelina La Barbera, 89, of Freehold passed away at home on Wednesday, January 21, 2015. She was born and raised in Manhattan, and lived in Queens prior to settling in The Villages in Freehold. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. Angelina was predeceased by her husband, Joseph La Barbera in 1988; her son-in-law, Peter Fursa in 2009; two brothers, Joseph and Alfonso; and four sisters, Catherine, Rosalie, Josephine and Lena. She is survived by her daughter, Rosemary Fursa of Freehold; her son, Joseph La Barbera and his wife, Lisa of Manalapan; nine grandchildren, Alexis Cox and her husband, Dustin, Joanna Cox and her husband Kevin, Kristen Galloway and her husband, Jory, Peter Fursa, Valerie La Barbera, Joseph A. La Barbera, Anthony La Barbera and Juliana La Barbera; five great grandchildren, Taylor, Breanna, Zoey, Jacoby and Jillian; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, January 23, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM funeral service at the funeral home on Saturday, January 24, 2015. Interment will follow in The All Faiths Cemetery, 67-29 Metropolitan Boulevard, Middle Village, NY 11379.
