Obituary of Phyllis Giammarino
Phyllis Giammarino, 88, of Freehold passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Bartley Healthcare, Jackson. Phyllis was born, raised and lived her whole life in Brooklyn before moving to New Jersey in 2004. She retired in 2003 as a cafeteria supervisor at P.S. 253, Brooklyn. Phyllis was a former member of the Metropolitan Baptist Church, Brooklyn, and was currently a member of the Faith Evangelical Free Church, Freehold. She was also a member of the Knitting Group in the Surrey Downs community.
Phyllis was predeceased by her parents, Giuseppe and Antoinette Lentini; her sister, Francesca "Frances" D'Amato; and her son-in-law, Michael Frodella in 2014. She is survived by three children, Joseph Giammarino of Marlboro; Maryann Frodella of Andover Township; and Philip Giammarino and his wife, Jennifer of Freehold Township; and six grandchildren, Ashley Giammarino, David Giammarino, Summer Giammarino, Jonathan Frodella, Julianna Giammarino and Isabella Giammarino.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM with her funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM with Rev.
