Obituary of Joseph DeFranco

Joseph W. DeFranco, 93, of Jackson passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2011, at Bartley Healthcare, Jackson. Mr. DeFranco was born in Brooklyn and had lived in Staten Island before moving to Jackson in 1998. He worked as an automobile salesman for Ford Motors and Lincoln-Mercury. Prior to that, Mr. DeFranco was involved with his family in the dress manufacturing business. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during WWII. Mr. DeFranco was a parishioner of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Jackson. He was predeceased by his daughter, Laura DeFranco in 2003. Mr. DeFranco is survived by his wife, Josephine DeFranco, who would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this month; a son, Joseph P. DeFranco and his wife, Rose Marie of Bayville, NJ; two grandsons, Christopher and Joseph P. Jr.; three great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Twp., NJ on Saturday, October 8, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and on Sunday, October 9, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Rite of Committal at the funeral home on Monday, October 10, 2011 at 7:30 AM followed by his 8:45 AM Funeral Mass at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson, NJ.
