Obituary of Anthony Beliaeff
ANTHONY BELIAEFF, 61, of LAKEWOOD, died Wednesday, July 9, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Mr. Beliaeff was born in Wells, Austria and had lived in Bethesda, Md. He grew up in Freehold before moving to Lakewood 31 years ago. Mr. Beliaeff was a reader, former elder for 18 years, sub deacon and a member of the choir, as well as a church council member at St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Howell. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during Vietnam. He was a graduate of Rutgers University, Cook Campus. He played soccer throughout his life and was an excellent dancer. Mr. Beliaeff was a senior landscape architect for the Garden State Parkway Commission, Holmdel, for 23 years, retiring in December 2007.
Surviving are his wife, Irene Beliaeff; a son, Peter Beliaeff of Allentown; a daughter, Larissa Beliaeff of Lakewood; and two sisters, his twin sister, Margaret Karimi of Texas and Helen Eisele of Massachusetts.
Pannyhida will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at St. Alexander Nevsky Russian Orthodox Cathedral, 220 Alexander Ave., Howell. Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral service at 10 a.m. Monday at the cathedral. Interment to follow in St. Vladimir's Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Jackson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Anthony's name may be made to the Sign Fund at St. Alexander Nevsky Russian Orthodox Cathedral, 220 Alexander Ave., Howell, NJ 07731.
