Obituary of Helen Ivan
HELEN R. IVAN, 89, of HOLMDEL, died Thursday, July 10, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Mrs. Ivan was born in Hungary and had lived in New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, the Wickatunk section of Marlboro for 30 years, and Middletown before moving to Holmdel in 2007. Mrs. Ivan was a homemaker and also worked at Lerner Shops, Perth Amboy. Mrs. Ivan was a former parishioner of St. Gabriel's, Marlboro, and a former parishioner of Our Lady of Hungary Church, Perth Amboy.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Ivan, in 1990; and a son, Robert J. Ivan, in 2001. Surviving are one daughter-in-law, Helen Ivan Cyrus of Farmingdale; one daughter, Louise Ivan of Colorado; one grandson, Michael Medvig of Colorado; and two great-grandchildren, Lauren and Ashton Medvig of Colorado.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Gabriel's Historic Catholic Church, 549 Route 520, Marlboro, until her 11 a.m. Funeral Mass.
