Obituary of Ann Barbuto

Ann Barbuto, 80, of Marlboro passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Ann was born and raised in Brooklyn. She moved to the New Springville section of Staten Island in 1968 where she raised her family. Ann settled in Marlboro in 2011. She was a former parishioner of Our Lady of Pity Catholic Church, Staten Island. Ann was a league bowler for Summer Golden Oldies and Fabulous AM Ladies. She took great pleasure in caring for her vegetable garden. Ann adored the beach and had a passion for walking which led her to participate, loyally every year, in the March of Dimes Walkathon on Staten Island. She was a devoted Mets fan but most of all Ann loved being Grandma Honey to her grandchildren. Ann is survived by her husband of 60 years, John T. Barbuto of Marlboro; three children, Anthony Barbuto and his wife, Mary, John Barbuto and his wife, Joanna, Nancy Colon and her husband, Bobby; six grandchildren, Danna, Amanda, Jamie, Robert, Matthew and Jillian; a great grandson, Ryder; two brothers, John LaBarbera and Vincent LaBarbera; a sister, Rose Pittorino; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 8:45 AM for the procession to St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 186 Gordons Corner Road, Manalapan for her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass. For those who desire, donations in memory of Ann may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001. Interment will be private.
