Obituary of Marguerite Reynolds

Marguerite Mehr Reynolds, 99, of Freehold passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, February 28, 2015. She was born in West New York, NJ and moved to Manalapan in 1947. After 60 years of living there, she settled in Freehold. Marguerite was a longtime resident of Hudson Manor and she ran the bingo program there. She was a bookkeeper at the Englishtown Agway; and was an active member of Our Lady of Mercy Church and the Rosary Society. She is predeceased by her first husband, William Mehr; her second husband, Bill Reynolds; a son, Eugene Mehr; and her daughter-in-law, Eugenia "Jean" Mehr. Marguerite is survived by her son, William and his wife, Evie of Freehold Township; three grandchildren, Christine Mehr and her partner, Paul Nader of Freehold; Erik Mehr and his wife, Kim of Allenhurst; and Melissa Koenig and her husband, Ken of Freehold; eleven great grandchildren; one stepson, Ronald Reynolds and his wife, Louise of Westchester, PA; and three step-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home at 9:00 AM on Saturday, March 7, 2015 for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Entombment will be at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.
