Obituary of Bertha Reynolds

Bertha Elizabeth Reynolds, 80, of Cream Ridge passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Deborah Hospital. Bert was born in Long Branch, raised in Freehold and had lived in Smithburg before moving to Cream Ridge in 1994. She was a machinist for Washington Forge, Englishtown for 32 years, retiring in 1985. In retirement, she worked as a clerk for AT&T, Freehold and then McDonalds in Millstone. Bert was an avid Bingo player and loved spending time in her garden. She enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. by bus, cruising and her trips to Hawaii. Bert was predeceased by her husband, George H. Reynolds; three sisters, Edith Phillips, Mary Hyers, and Janet Petro. She is survived by a brother, Tennent Emmons of Neptune City; two sisters, Dolores King of Freehold and Vera Baggitt of Beachwood; eleven nephews; sixteen nieces; and a slew of great and great-great nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM funeral service at the funeral home on Monday, March 9, 2015. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
