Obituary of Jeffrey Michel

Jeffrey "Jay" Michel, 27, of Colts Neck passed away tragically on Friday, March 6, 2015 in Toms River. He was born in Newark and had lived in Brooklyn, Hillside, Brick and Holmdel before settling in Colts Neck in 2007. Jay was an LPN at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch and private duty. He was currently a student at Brookdale Community College School of Nursing to become a registered nurse. Jay was also preparing to enlist in the United States Army. He was an Amway sales person. Jay loved movies, video games and weightlifting. He was an avid long boarder and loved everything sci-fi. He was a true friend to many and was devoted to his family. Jay was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Carmen Chevry; and his paternal grandparents, Eberle and Ilfaudra Michel. He is survived by his daughter, Alani Nicole Michel and his newborn son, Josiah Nicholas Michel; his parents, Rony and Yolene Michel of Colts Neck; two brothers, Christopher Michel of Colts Neck and Matthew Cazeau of Brooklyn, NY; two sisters, Meghan Michel of Colts Neck and Shirley Gabriel of Brooklyn, NY; his girlfriend, Tyshauna Osborne of Toms River; his maternal grandfather, Dominique Chevry of Brooklyn, NY; four aunts; six uncles and numerous cousins. A visitation will be held at the Abundant Life Church of God, 632 Colts Neck Road, Freehold Township on Friday, March 13, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the church on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 8:30 AM for his 9:00 AM funeral service. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township.
