Obituary of Beverly Franklin

Beverly Brach Franklin, 66, of Howell passed away at Bartley Healthcare, Jackson on Sunday, March 15, 2015. Beverly was born in Neptune and was raised in Freehold Township before moving to Howell. She was a telephone operator for over twenty-five years, starting in Freehold Borough for NJ Bell and retiring from AT&T in Mercerville. In retirement, she worked at Brandywine as an activities coordinator from 2005 until 2012. Beverly was a graduate of Howell High School and was Miss Greater Freehold in 1965. She enjoyed her scratch-offs, playing the lottery every week and spending time at the beach and on the boardwalk. Beverly was a faithful wife, loving mother, adoring grandmother, devoted daughter, caring sister, and doting aunt. Beverly was predeceased by her father, Morton Ray Brach; and her maternal grandparents, Gus and Florence Daley. She is survived by her husband of forty-four years, Donald E. Franklin, Sr. of Howell; a daughter, Christie Dickson and her husband, David of Harleysville, PA; a son, Donald E. Franklin, Jr. and his wife, Sara of Howell; a grandson, Connor Paul Franklin; her mother, Carolyn Brach of Freehold; two brothers, Morton Ray Brach, Jr. and his wife, Kathy of Freehold Township and Michael Brach and his wife, Mary of Sun City West, AZ; two nieces, Jamie Brach and Amanda Brach; three nephews, Brian, Brad, and Brett Brach; and numerous other nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Sunday, March 22, 2015 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM funeral service at the funeral home on Monday, March 23, 2015. Interment will follow in Brig. Gen. Wm. C.
