Obituary of Eleanor Hallstrom

Eleanor E. Hallstrom, 79, of Freehold Township passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Eleanor was born in Brooklyn and had lived in River Edge and Basking Ridge before moving to Freehold Township in 2001. She was an administrative assistant for Lucent Technologies, Basking Ridge retiring in 1998. Prior to that, Eleanor was an interior decorator and worked for Exxon/Esso Eastern in New York City. She was a 1983 graduate of Ramapo College. Eleanor was a master gardener who loved flowers but her greatest love was her children and grandchildren. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, Robert E. "Bob" Hallstrom in 2012. She is survived by two sons, Stephen Huhn and his wife, Karen of Oregon and Greg Huhn and his wife, Kim of Manalapan; six grandchildren, Scott Huhn, Ryan Huhn, Kylie Huhn, Madison Huhn, Kate Huhn and Philip Huhn; two brothers, Daniel Holohan and his wife, Mary of Pennsylvania and Richard Holohan of Upstate New York; two nephews; and four nieces. A memorial gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at St. Rose of Lima Mausoleum, 299 Freehold Englishtown Road, Freehold.
