Obituary of Robert Moritz

ROBERT K. MORITZ, 59, of HOWELL, died Friday, July 18, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Mr. Moritz was born in the Bronx and lived in Westwood and Staten Island before moving to Howell 25 years ago. Mr. Moritz was a graduate of Seton Hall University. Robert spent more than 30 years as a supply technician for the Army Corps of Engineers in Jersey City before his retirement in 2008. He was predeceased by his parents; and his brother, Kurt J. Moritz, in 1993. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Moritz; his son and daughter-in-law, John A. and Suzanne Pappalardo of Riverview, Fla.; his daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Jarod Riley of Howell; and three sisters, Janice Degelmann of Hillside, Judy Crimmins of Harrington Park, and Kathleen Moritz of Basking Ridge. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township. Relatives and friends may gather at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday for his Funeral Mass at St. Mary of the Lake Church, 43 Madison Ave., Lakewood, with interment to follow.
