Obituary of Frank Vazzano
Frank Michael Vazzano, 81, of Howell passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2015 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Frank was born in New York City and raised in Brooklyn. He lived in Livingston before moving to Howell in 1988. After serving in the U.S. Army during Korean War, Frank was the deli manager at Pathmark for over 30 years at the Cranford, Hazlet and Freehold Township stores. He enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, saltwater fishing, playing poker, the lottery, and scratch-off tickets. Frank was a devoted Yankees fan, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Frank was predeceased by two sisters, Jenny Brophy and Mary Gomez. He is survived by his wife, Vivian Vazzano of Howell; his daughter, Louise Vazzano of Howell; his son, Thomas Vazzano and his wife, Peggy of Budd Lake; and two grandchildren, Anthony Vazzano and Nicole Vazzano.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, April 17, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 8:30 AM at the funeral home on Saturday, April 18, 2015 for the procession to his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. William the Abbot, 2740 Lakewood-Allenwood Road, Howell.
