Obituary of Mildred Burdge

MILDRED C. BURDGE, 95, of NEPTUNE CITY, died Tuesday, July 22, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Mrs. Burdge was born in Freehold Township and lived in Neptune City for the last 38 years. Mrs. Burdge was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Warren "Doc" Burdge, in May 1997; and a son, W. Ronald Burdge, in March 1997. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, John and Sylvia E. Applegate of Freehold Township; a daughter, Patricia Burdge of Neptune City; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Burdge of Freehold Township; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at noon Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent.
