Obituary of Larry Scarano

Larry Scarano, 71, of Jackson passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Larry was born, raised and lived on Staten Island before moving to Middletown, NJ in 1983. He moved to Jackson in 2003. Larry was a U.S. Army veteran during the Vietnam War. He was a self employed Commodities Broker. Larry was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 1675, Staten Island. He loved to cook, embraced new technologies and was known for his generosity, which knew no bounds. He was predeceased by his wife, Susan Margaret Scarano in 2004; a brother, Carlo Scarano; and a sister, Louise Barone. Larry is survived by two sons, Edward Scarano of Neptune and Dennis Scarano and his wife, Michelle of Neptune; a daughter, Julie Hoff of Oklahoma; and two grandchildren, Maggie and Jarrett. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, May 3, 2015 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM with his service to follow at 4:00 PM. Cremation is private. Inurnment will be in the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle NJ Veteran Cemetery, Arneytown at the convenience of the family.
