Obituary of Gerard Giacomo

Gerard A. Giacomo, Jr., 71, of Jackson passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Gerard was born in New York City and lived in the Bronx, Staten Island and Freehold Township before moving to Jackson in 2004. He was the owner of Contempra Electric, Freehold Township for forty years. Gerard was a parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. He loved baseball and football and was an avid fan of the Yankees and Giants. Gerard enjoyed going to the beach, trips to Atlantic City, and playing cards with friends, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Gerard was predeceased by a brother, Anthony Giacomo. He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Rosemary Giacomo; two daughters, Laura Stevens and her husband, Michael of Jackson and Jeannine Christensen and her husband, David of Jackson; a son, Vincent Giacomo and his wife, SheriAnne of Millstone; six grandchildren, Tiffany, Jacob, Gabriel, Riley, Vincent, Jr., and Gianna; and a brother, Anthony Losquado of NY. A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 9:00 AM for the procession to his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
