Condolences
Over the years when Chick and Kay would spend their winters in Florida, Chick periodically would send out letters to friends and family telling of their adventures and activities. Among the recipients was Jo's mother Berniece Fleming. After Berniece had read the letter, she would share it with me. We both looked forward to those letters -- today Chick would probably be blogging and e-mailing, but back then the snail-mail worked just fine. Marvel Zuercher (Jo's sister)
DEAR MADIE.....I WAS SO VERY SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THE LOSS OF YOUR DEAR FATHER..AS MUCH AS WE THINK WE ARE READY IT IS HARD TO LET GO..BUT THANK GOD FOR OUR FAITH AS HE WILL GUIDE US THROUGH THESE TOUGH TIMES,WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF KNOWING WE WILL SEE ONE ANOTHER AGAIN..LOOKING AT THE WONDERFUL PICTURES I CAN SEE HE ENJOYED LIFE TO THE FULLEST..HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED..BUT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY WERE BLESSED TO HAVE HIM IN YOUR LIFE
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Recently I lost my dear mother, and found great comfort in the words of Jesus at John 11:11-14, where he likens death to being asleep, and at John 5:28,29 - "All those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out."
