Obituary of Eleanor Corley

Eleanor Marie Corley, 88, of Freehold Township, NJ passed away on Monday, May 11, 2015 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township, NJ. Eleanor was born and raised in Wanamie, PA and had lived in Middletown, NJ and East Meadow, NY before moving to Freehold Township, NJ in 2001. She was a special procedures x-ray technician at Nassau County Medical Center, East Meadow for 35 years, retiring in 1990. Eleanor was an active parishioner and a member of the church choir at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colts Neck. She was a former parishioner of St. Raphael 's Parish, East Meadow and sang with the church choraleers for over 30 years. Eleanor loved to sing, and performed at the Lincoln Center and with the Gay Men's Choirs of New Jersey at Carnegie Hall. She, along with her family, was a proud owner of many standardbred horses. Eleanor was an artist and enjoyed painting in the medium of oil on canvas. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, Thomas F. Corley in 1996; and a brother, Joseph Zaborowski in 1996. She is survived by nine children, Thomas Corley and his wife, Gwen of Hicksville, NY, Edward Corley of Freehold Township, NJ, David Corley and his wife, Ceil of Merrick, NY, Robert Corley of East Meadow, NY, Kathi Corley Satcher of Eatontown, NJ, Louisa Corley Priore and her husband, Roger of Staunton, VA, Susan Corley Sepe and her husband, Patrick of Merrick, NY, Brian Corley and his wife, Doreen of Old Bridge, NJ, Nancy Corley of Freehold Township, NJ; twelve grandchildren, Andrew Corley, Zach Corley, Erin Corley Obrusniak, Matthew Corley, Jackie Corley, Brian Satcher, Scott Satcher, Alex Priore, Allison Bertouch, Brittany Sepe, Courtney Corley and Ashley Corley; two great grandchildren, Aaliyah Corley and Kingston Corley; two brothers, Bernard Zaborowski of Pennsylvania and Edward Zaborowski of Pennsylvania; and her faithful feline companions, Toto and Gizmo. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 8:55 AM Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1 Phalanx Road, Colts Neck on Friday, May 15, 2015. Additional visitation will be held at the Charles J. O'Shea Funeral Home, 603 Wantagh Avenue, Wantagh, NY on Sunday, May 17, 2015 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM. Interment will be from the O'Shea Funeral Home on Monday, May 18, 2015 at 9:00 AM to St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
