Obituary of Philip Palazzolo

Philip A. Palazzolo, Jr., 74, of Freehold Township passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold after a short battle of cancer. Philip was born in Elizabeth, raised in Linden, and lived in Marlboro before moving to Freehold Township in 1993. He was a commercial loan officer for Yardville National Bank retiring in 2005. Prior to that Philip worked for Fleet Bank and Summit Bank. Philip was predeceased by a nephew, Joseph Scardaville. He is survived by a sister, Arlene Scardaville of Delaware; two great nieces, Nicole and Madison; and his favorite, his longtime caretaker, Anthony Mellilo of Freehold Township. A memorial gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Monday, May 18, 2015 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM with his memorial service to follow at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Philip may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
